1968 Gibson Country Western – Natural
We present an original 1968 Gibson Country Western in its original Natural finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This vintage Gibson is a true eye-catcher. It has had only one owner, who purchased it brand new off the rack in 1968. It has been consistently played ever since, resulting in some signs of wear, but no major dings or deep scratches. The guitar features beautiful finish checking throughout the body, adding to its vintage charm.
It boasts a slim mahogany neck with cream binding and black side dots. The rosewood fingerboard is adorned with elegant mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The body features a solid spruce top, paired with a rosewood bridge and saddle, a large tortoise pickguard, and a classic multi-ring rosette.
Includes a newer hardshell case with fully functional latches and handle.
Repairs that has been done by a professional Luthier:
- New saddle.
- Original plastic bridge from the period has been replaced professionally with a rosewood bridge.
- Strap button is installed on the neck heel.
- New white Kluson tuners are installed.
