This semi hollow body is a great sounding instrument and it’s in perfect in great condition with no breaks or any repairs. It has a beautiful lacquer finish and we have graded this beauty to excellent + condition. The stock “Patent Numbers” humbuckers are powerful and articulate, and the semi hollow body maple body allows for the quick attack of this particular tone wood, and also an airy, warm quality.
Acoustically, the tone is very authoritative and clear, and this quality translates well to the pickups. The neck has a profile which as a fairly slender C-down at the nut and quickly growing in both depth and shoulder to near bigger neck. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid block inlays.
The original frets are great with a lot of life left. The headstock has minor nicks and dings and features the original Kluson Deluxe double line/double ring tuning machines. All of them turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. A orange oval Gibson label has a clean text and a serial number which matches that imprinted serial number back of the headstock.
The bridge is the original chrome Gibson Tune-o-Matic. The original chrome trapeze tailpiece is intact, black hat knobs, as well as the stock pickguard, switch tip and pickup covers.
