1970 Gibson SG Standard – Cherry

We present an all original and 100% complete 1970 Gibson SG standard in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Condition

Overall, this 1970 Gibson SG is in near mint condition. The original frets are in great shape and has a lot of life left. The original cherry finish looks stunning. The chrome hardware are clean and shiny as it can be. The “Batman” pickguard is perfect with no breaks or any repairs. The original Gibson “doublering” tuners are in perfect shape and turn perfectly. The factory Maestro tremolo tailpiece is in great shape and works as intended. A stunning clean example! Featuring a 1-piece mahogany body and a clean and straight 3-piece mahogany neck with a “volute”. Bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays.

Originality

This 1970 Gibson SG Standard is 100% all original just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1970. Even comes with the original tags. The 2x original “PAT-Number Sticker” Humbuckers sound fantastic and are well-balanced. Featuring all the original plastic parts.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original chipboard hardcase. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
