1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom – Ebony
We present an all original and early 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom is in great condition, with nicks, dings, and other cosmetic play wear. The original gold hardware has naturally aged over the years, giving this vintage Les Paul a cool, classic look. There’s no doubt this guitar has been played — the original frets are low but still playable.
The two “Patent Number” humbucker pickups sound fantastic and are very well balanced. It features a superb C-shaped mahogany neck with a bound ebony fingerboard and block inlays. The original deluxe “waffle-back” tuners turn smoothly and function perfectly. Includes four black control knobs and a three-way pickup selector. The original white switch tip is included in the case. Overall, this is a stunning-sounding and visually striking guitar with all the features you’re looking for in a vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1971.
The pickups and all electronics remain untouched and fully intact—no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. 100% original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Gibson hardshell case featuring a black exterior and purple interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
