Description & Specifications

1972 Gibson ES-335 TD – Sunburst

We present an all original 1972 Gibson ES-335 TD in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This iconic ES-335 features a beautifully figured maple top and back. It is equipped with two original “Patent Sticker” humbucker pickups that deliver the classic Gibson semi-hollow tone these guitars are known for. This Gibson ES-335 TD features a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and block inlays. The original “Iced Tea” Sunburst finish is vibrant and stunning. Another standout feature of this guitar is its original wiring, which includes black Sprague capacitors.

Condition

The original frets and nut are in great condition with plenty of life left. Overall, this vintage Gibson is in excellent and super clean condition, with only extremely minor cosmetic wear. The chrome hardware, pickup covers with the “Gibson” stamp, and trapeze tailpiece are also in excellent shape. The finish retains its rich color and shows beautifully.

Originality

This 1972 Gibson ES-335 TD is 100% original throughout – just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1972. The original chrome hardware is very clean, and all parts are correct to the period.

The pickups and electronics remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. Everything is fully original and 100% correct.

It comes with the original Gibson hardshell case. All latches and the handle is fully functioning.
