1974 Fender Telecaster Thinline – Sunburst
We present an original 1974 Fender Telecaster Thinline in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This fantastic Telecaster Thinline comes directly from the family of the original owner. Finding a Sunburst Thinline from this period is rare, as natural finishes were far more common.
Condition
Overall, this lovely CBS-era Thinline is in very clean condition, showing only extremely minor cosmetic wear. The original Sunburst finish remains vibrant, strong, and beautifully preserved.
It features a very light alder body and a maple neck with a maple fingerboard and dot inlays. The neck is very clean with a comfortable C-shaped profile. The original frets have plenty of life left and have been dressed at some point, ensuring no buzzing when playing across the entire neck. All six original Fender tuners are intact and turn smoothly.
Originality
This ’74 Fender Telecaster Thinline is all-original except for a newer nut, otherwise exactly as it left the Fullerton factory in 1974. It features the original Seth Lover-designed Wide Range humbuckers. Both pickups are powerful and well-balanced, delivering a wide tonal range. The guitar features 1x volume and 1x tone knob, along with a 3-way pickup selector for versatile sound shaping. The original pickguard is perfect with no breaks.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups—completely original and correct.
The guitar comes with its original black Fender hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
