1950 Gibson LG-2 – Sunburst
We present a fantastic 1950 Gibson LG-2 in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Condition
Cosmetically, this Gibson LG-2 from the golden age of Gibson is in very good+ condition with nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. Exceptionally good condition for a Gibson flattop from 1950 – no crack repairs. Lots of beautiful finish checking all over the body and neck. This guitar has been loved and played.
There is quite a lot of play-wear on the back of the mahogany neck where some of the finish have worn off. It has a beefy round carve that fills the hand nicely. It features a sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, as well as beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard. The sunburst finish has barely faded at all and has a lovely glow to it.This flattop has a huge sound with a big voice. Absolutely a wonderful guitar that sounds and plays fantastic.
Originality
This flat-top is all original except for newer white tuner buttons – the actual tuners are original only the buttons have en changed. Otherwise no modifications or repairs. It features the original frets and nut which still has a lot of life left.
Comes with a non-original older hardshell case. Latches and handle in perfect working order.
