1956 Fender Stratocaster – Blond
We proudly present an exceptional and all original 1956 Fender Stratocaster in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This mid 1956 pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster is one of the holy grails from Fender. Overall, it’s in excellent+ condition with minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. A very clean example! There’s a bit of lacquer that has flaked off around the cutaways and neck heel (see pictures), It is not unusual to see on ’56 finishes. The original custom color Blond finish is incredible and lovely semi-transparent, so you’re able to see the beautiful ash wood grains underneath the finish. It has the distinctive “halo”-like Blond finish that almost looks like a blond burst.
It features a gorgeous, straight maple neck with a comfortable soft ‘V’-shaped profile, along with the original frets and nut — both with plenty of life left.”
Originality
This incredible ’56 pre-CBS Strat is 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in ’56. There is no doubt that this a true collector’s piece, but at the same time deserves to be played because it sounds so good! Comes complete with the original bridge cover, tremolo arm, polish cloth, and strap. Furthermore it comes with an original blank hang tag that was only produced up til 1956. It features all the original white bakelite plastic parts. It features the original round string tree that Fender used up until mid of ’56 since they was going over to the “wing”-shaped string tree in 1956.
The 3x original black bottom single-coil pickups are well-balanced and healthy.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
