1956 Gibson J-45 – Sunburst
We present an original 1956 Gibson J-45 in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
There really is nothing like a vintage Gibson tone. This J-45 is a prime representation of what all the commotion is about. Very strong, woody basses and crisp, cutting trebles combined with dry open Gibson sound. This flat-top has scalloped bracing with a gorgeous spruce top. The guitar plays beautifully with low action and clarity up the neck. The neck profile is a comfortable slightly less full, rounded. Everything about the guitar is just perfect. Architecturally this guitar is very close to a banner logo wartime J-45.
The original finish has beautiful finish checking and nicks, dings and other cosmetic play-wear. Bridge plate is also original.
The original frets and nut has plenty of life left. The pickguard has shrunken and caused the typical and common tiny crack next to the fretboard below high E-string, but this one is only superficial.
Comes complete with its original chipboard case.
