1957 Fender Champ Amp Tweed 5E1 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1957 Fender Champ Tweed 5E1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This beautiful amplifier is simple, elegant, and clean enough to satisfy both collectors and serious players. The 1957 Fender Champ features its original lacquered tweed and the classic 5E1 circuit. It doesn’t get much purer than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers exceptionally dynamic and glassy pure tube tone, transitioning effortlessly from clean to fully saturated overdrive with just a twist of the single knob.
It has been well cared for over the decades and still has its original Oxford 6″ speaker. The circuit has just been serviced with new capacitors, resistors, and a 3-prong cord, ensuring perfect operation. Both transformers are original as well.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed covering is in fantastic condition. Overall, the tweed looks particularly great, with the original nailed-in feet and even the original leather handle intact.
To keep it as original as possible, you’ll need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
