1957 Fender Vibrolux Amplifier Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1957 Fender Vibrolux amplifier tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This amplifier is in great shape for its age. It delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. The tremolo is bias-based, meaning it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls, and it has a strong pulse with a smooth waveform.
The original Jensen P10R speaker has been reconed, and a few new quality filter capacitors, 2 x pots, and resistors have been installed to ensure perfect operation. The original parts are included. Otherwise, the chassis is very clean, and the chrome control plate and original white lettering are intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are intact, along with a newer handle. The original lacquered tweed is intact, showing light ambering with some minor scuffs and wear. Both transformers are original, and it’s equipped with new modern tubes. Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in great condition. Overall, the tweed looks particularly good and uniformly aged, with the original nailed-in feet.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
