1957 Fender Vibrolux Amp Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1957 Fender Vibrolux Amp Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This amp delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. It stays clean with just the right amount of overdrive and offers a very tight bass response — especially impressive for an amp with its original Jensen P10R 10″ speaker. The tremolo is bias-based, meaning it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls. It has a strong, pulsing effect with a smooth waveform and offers plenty of intensity and chop.
The chassis is clean, as is the chrome control plate. The original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are still present, accompanied by a newer handle. A modern 3-prong grounded cord has been added, and the death cap has been removed. It has been fully serviced with new caps and resistors for optimal performance (the original caps and replaced resistors are included). The original alnico Jensen P10R speaker has been reconed and features a very clean green/blue frame, original bell cover, and a clean Jensen label.
The original lacquered tweed covering is intact, showing light ambering and minor scuffs and wear, primarily on the lower left corner of the enclosure and the bottom of the amp. The original Oxblood grill cloth is tight. It is stocked with vintage RCA and GE tubes and even comes complete with its original and rare wooden footswitch.
The original tube chart is also present and very clean, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.
