1959 Gibson ES-225 TD – Sunburst
We present an all original 1959 Gibson ES-225 TD in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson ES-225 TD features a single cutaway thin body, two P-90 pickups, and a combination trapeze tailpiece/bridge (like early Gibson Les Paul models). Overall, this vintage guitar is in excellent, clean condition and comes complete with its original strap and hang tag. No breaks or repairs!
It has been well cared for over the years, with some minor finish wear on the back of the neck and a few dings, scratches, and rub marks from the bridge. The small rounded chip in the finish behind the neck is from the strap, which has been wrapped around the neck for most of its life. The frets are original, with plenty of life left. It has a strong, classic ’59 mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot inlays. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream plastic buttons are still in place and work perfectly. The dual P-90 pickups deliver an incredible vintage tone. This is a truly remarkable Gibson ES-225 TD from Gibson’s Golden Age.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1959.
The pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. All components are original and correct.
Comes complete with its original and rare brown Lifton hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
