We present an all original 1959 Gibson ES-225 TD in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson ES-225 TD is a single cutaway thin body, two P-90 pickups and a combination trapeze tailpiece/bridge (like early Gibson Les Paul models). Overall, this guitar is in excellent clean condition and comes complete with its original strap and hang tag. No breaks or any repair!
It has been well cared for over the years and it has some minor finish wear on the back of the neck and a few dings, scratches, rub marks from bridge. The small rounded chip finish behind the neck is from the strap that has been setting around the neck in most of its’s life. The frets are original and there is plenty of life left. Good strong ’59 mahogany neck with dark rosewood fingerboard and pearl dots. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream plastic buttons are still in place and working perfectly. The single P-90 pickups sound amazing. This is just an amazing Gibson ES-225 TD from Gibson’s Golden Age.
The pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original and rare brown Lifton hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
