1960 Gibson Les Paul Special DC – TV Yellow
We present an all original 1960 Gibson Les Paul Special DC in TV Yellow, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This exceptional Gibson Les Paul Special comes directly from the original owner. The color is commonly known as TV Yellow, but it was actually called Cream in the 1960 Gibson catalog. This Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut is in excellent and super clean condition, with just minor nicks and dings. This guitar has some serious mojo! The original finish remains very strong. We have graded this guitar as near mint. No breaks or repairs — 100% original! Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1960. This guitar sounds absolutely amazing with its original P-90 “Soapbar” pickups, which are well-balanced and strong. Great lightweight and resonant mahogany body.
The original frets are perfect, with plenty of life left. The original “2/3 Kluson on the stripe” tuners are still in place and work perfectly. Medium-sized 1-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, wraparound aluminum tailpiece, 4x black Reflector knobs, and 3-way toggle switch. Still features the silkscreen Les Paul on the headstock with no fading. Just an outstanding, clean vintage guitar that is tough to find in this condition.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact — no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Alligator chipboard case. The original latches and handle are also intact.
