We present an original 1961 Fender Champ amplifier tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.

This vintage Champ boasts its original lacquered tweed and hallowed 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much more pure than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers freakishly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that can go from clean to fully saturated overdrive with a twist of the single knob.

Overall,  the Champ has been well cared for over the decades and is stocked with the original Oxford 8″ speaker and  circuit has just been serviced with new caps and tubes. The speaker has been reconed. The preamp retains the original yellow Astron tone capacitors. Both transformers are original and the chassis itself boasts an extremely clean chrome faceplate with all of the original white silkscreen lettering.

Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in very great shape. The tweed looks particularly great and uniformly aged, with original nailed in feet and even the original leather handle. To keep it as original as possible there are a stepdown transformer (so it can run 230volt )

Freshly, and full serviced and complete with a full vintage tube set. It is ready to be played.
