1961 Fender Jazzmaster – Sunburst
We present an all original 1961 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in excellent condition and even comes complete with its original bridge cover and tremolo arm. Cosmetically, the guitar shows minimal play wear on the back of the neck and a few small nicks and dings on the front and sides. The neck profile and headstock face are exceptionally clean. There is just a bit of tarnish/wear on the decal, which is quite common. Otherwise, this is an exceptionally clean example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster.
The original black-bottom pickups are well-balanced, strong, and sound incredible. The original frets still have plenty of life left. The guitar is powerful, resonant, and extremely versatile—everything you’d expect from a guitar produced during Fender’s golden era. Beautiful dark rosewood slab board with clay dots.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1961.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender brown hardshell case with yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
