1961 Gibson ES-175D – Sunburst
We present an all original 1961 Gibson ES-175D in Sunburst. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
In 1961, only 406 ES-175 archtop electric guitars were produced in the Sunburst finish. This Gibson ES-175D is in excellent condition, showing only minor nicks, dings, and cosmetic wear. No breaks or repairs!
The original finish is a classic Tobacco Sunburst, featuring some light finish checking. It is equipped with two outstanding-sounding PAF pickups that are well-balanced and deliver a fantastic tone. These original factory pickups are undisturbed, untouched, and have never been removed. The guitar features a one-piece mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and split parallelogram inlays. It has an adjustable rosewood bridge and its original Zig Zag tailpiece. A truly amazing archtop from Gibson’s golden era.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1961.
The pickups and electronics remain completely untouched and original, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. 100% original and correct throughout.
Includes the original brown hardshell case with pink interior. All latches and the handle are fully functional.
