1961 Gibson ES-175D – Sunburst
We present an all original and 100% complete 1961 Gibson Es-175D in Sunburst. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Back in 1961 only 406 ES-175 Archtop electric guitars was made in Sunburst finish. This Gibson ES-175D is in excellent condition with minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. No breaks or any repairs !
The original sunburst is Tobacco Sunburst with some finish checking. It features two great sounding PAF’s pickups that are well balanced and sounds fantastic. The original pickups are undisturbed and factory stock and never been off. The Gibson has 1-piece mahogany neck with dark rosewood fingerboard with split Parallelogram inlays. Adjustable rosewood bridge with its original Zig Zag tailpiece. Just an amazing Archtop from Gibsons golden age.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original brown hardshell case with pink interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
