Description & Specifications

1962 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Standard – Cherry

We present an all original 1962 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Standard in its original Cherry finish, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This 1962 Gibson Les Paul Standard is in exceptionally clean condition with only minimal cosmetic wear. A perfect example with no breaks or repairs. The Gibson Les Paul Standard (SG) offers excellent weight and a resonant, powerful tone and feel. The Cherry finish remains a vibrant red with minor finish checking. This Gibson features a one-piece mahogany body and a one-piece slender mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding, black side dots, and “Les Paul” on the truss rod cover.

It boasts a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The original frets show only slight wear, with plenty of life remaining. The Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. It comes equipped with two fantastic, untouched “Patent Applied For” P.A.F. humbuckers with covers and black bezels. Includes dual volume and tone controls with black knobs, along with a 3-way toggle switch. The original sideways Vibrola works flawlessly, as does the nickel ABR-1 bridge. There are no cracks in the pickguard.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1962.

The pickups and all electronics remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.

Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case with yellow interior. The original latches and handle are also intact.
