1963 Fender Vibroverb Amp AA763 – Blackface
We present an all original 1963 Fender Vibroverb-Amp AA763 – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This amp model is arguably the most desirable and popular Fender Blackface amplifier — only produced from mid-’63 through ’64. Famously used by Stevie Ray Vaughan, this specific amplifier is from November 1963, making it one of the earliest Blackface examples.
Condition
Overall, this holy grail of Fender Blackface amps is in excellent condition, with signs of wear, nicks, and dings on the surface. The original black Tolex is clean, as is the faceplate, where all the writing remains clearly visible and has barely faded. The grill cloth is in stunning condition, with just a few spots of wear but overall very clean. The original knobs are all intact, in good condition, and turn smoothly.
Originality
This incredible amp features the original AA763 circuit. The original CTS 15″ speaker is intact and sounds amazing and beefy. All the transformers are original to the amplifier as well. It also comes with the original footswitch. This amplifier has just been professionally serviced with a new 3-prong power cord, two replaced pots, capacitors, and resistors, ensuring it runs perfectly.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
