1963 Gibson SG Custom – Polaris White
We present an original 1963 Gibson SG Custom in Polaris White finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Overall, this Gibson SG Custom is in great shape, with some nicks, dings, finish cracks, and other cosmetic play wear. 1-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable, wide neck profile. The gold-plated hardware, including the Maestro Vibrola & Lyre tailpiece, is still strong but has aged over the years.
The original frets are still in great shape, including the nut. Gorgeous ebony fretboard with block MOP inlays. ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge, 6x original Kluson “Waffleback” tuners, 2x Volume / 2x Tone, and 3-way toggle switch. The “Pat. No. sticker” humbuckers are quite similar to the famous PAFs — they are well-balanced and sound fantastic. The guitar is all original, except that at some point, one or two pickup covers were removed but have since been reinstalled. Otherwise just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1963.
Otherwise, the pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original black Gibson hardshell case with yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
