1964 Fender Jazzmaster – Olympic White
We present an all original 1964 Fender Jazzmaster in Olympic White finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California. This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster Custom Color is an early 1964 with “spagetti logo”. It comes complete with its original bridge cover and tremolo arm. Cosmetically, this guitar shows little “buckle rash” on the back and nicks and dings on the front and sides, with a few spots of notable wear and an assortment of small nicks and scratches to the back of the guitar. It has some red case blend on the back of body from the interior. It’s totally common and can be seen on old White finish.
The neck profile and back of the headstock are as clean as can be with minor nicks and dings. Otherwise, this is an exceptional example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster and Olympic White has become hard to find. The original Black Bobbins Pickups are very balanced/strong and sounds incredibly good. The original frets have been dressed but there is still plenty of life left.
The fender guitar is powerful, resonant and extremely versatile, this is everything you’d expect from a guitar produced in Fender’s golden age period. Beautiful dark rosewood with clay dots.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with periode correct Fender white tolex hardshell case. One of the latches is replaced so it’s in perfect working order.
