Description & Specifications
1964 Fender Jazzmaster – Olympic White
We present an all original 1964 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Olympic White finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
Overall, this fantastic ’64 Jazzmaster is in very good+ condition, with nicks and dings on both the front and back of the body, along with a few notable areas of wear and typical ‘belt buckle rash’ on the back. The interior lining of the hardshell case has left some red marks on the back of the body—common with aged white finishes.
The maple neck and back of the headstock are exceptionally clean, showing only minor wear. It features a beautifully dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and minimal play wear. The original frets have been dressed, but still have plenty of life left in them.
Originality
This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster in Custom Color is an early 1964 model with the “spaghetti logo.” It’s 100% original throughout with no modifications – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1964. It comes complete with its original bridge cover and tremolo arm. The two original black-bottom pickups sound powerful and are well-balanced. It features six original single-line Kluson tuners, which function perfectly and turn smoothly. The original plastic parts—knobs, switch tip, and pickup covers—are all intact and in good condition. It also features the original tortoiseshell pickguard.
This Fender guitar is powerful, resonant, and extremely versatile—everything you’d expect from an instrument built during Fender’s golden age.
The pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with the original Fender white tolex hardshell case. One of the latches has been replaced, so it’s now in perfect working order.
