Description & Specifications

1964 Gibson Melody Maker – Sunburst

We present an all original 1964 Gibson Melody Maker in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This tidy ’64 Melody Maker features the wider 1 11/16” nut width, making it a joy to play. It has a one-piece double cutaway mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard. A very nice Gibson Melody Maker, praised by players, teachers, and students for its excellent tone.

Overall, it is in excellent condition with minor nicks, dings, and other light cosmetic play wear. The original frets still have plenty of life left. A great vintage solid-body electric guitar with a full-sized neck and scale length. It’s equipped with a great-sounding single-coil pickup that is strong and well-balanced. Even comes complete with its original Gibson hang tag.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1964.

The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All original and 100% correct.

Comes with its original chipboard case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
