1965 Fender Jazzmaster – Lake Placid Blue
We present an all original early 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Lake Placid Blue finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
This rare and collectible vintage guitar is in near mint condition. We are its third owners and thrilled to present such a historically significant and incredibly preserved piece. The Lake Placid Blue finish shows almost no fading — exceptionally rare for a guitar of this age.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1965. It comes with the original tremolo arm and bridge cover. The original owner added a small letter emblem to personalize the body. This Jazzmaster is not only a collector’s dream but also a high-quality player.
This Jazzmaster features a one-piece maple neck with a fast, medium-profile carve. It boasts a beautiful veneer rosewood fretboard with 21 original medium frets. The neck is accented with clay dot position markers and clay side dots. It has a single “butterfly” string tree with nylon spacer and individual Kluson Deluxe tuners with dual-line stamping and oval metal buttons.
The guitar is equipped with a three-ply white/black/white celluloid pickguard. Electronics include master volume and master tone controls, a three-way pickup selector switch, and a jack on the treble side. On the bass side, it features two roller knobs (volume and tone) and a rhythm/lead circuit selector switch. The original gray-bottom pickups are strong, clear, and perfectly balanced.
All pickups and electronics are untouched, with original solder joints intact—no rewinds, no modifications. 100% original and correct throughout.
This Jazzmaster comes in its original Fender hardshell case with a vibrant orange interior. All latches and handle function perfectly.
