1965 Fender Jazzmaster – Lake Placid Blue
We present an all original and early 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in Lake Placid Blue finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Overall, this rare piece is in near mint condition. We are the third owner of this piece and we are proud to have this rare guitar up for sale. The Lake Placid Blue finish is nearly unfaded, which is very rare to come across. Complete with the original tremolo arm and bridge cover. The original owner has put a little letter emblem on the body to personalize the guitar. This piece is so amazing and a rare piece of history as well as a top collectors piece and top notch player.
The Jazzmaster features one-piece maple neck and a very fast medium profile. Gorgeous veneer rosewood fretboard with 21 original medium frets. Clay dot position markers and clay dot side position markers. Single “butterfly” string tree with nylon spacer. Individual dual-line Kluson Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons.
Three-layer white over black celluloid pickguard. Two controls (master volume, master tone) plus three-way pickup selector switch and jack socket on the treble side of the pickguard, two roller knobs (volume, tone) plus two-way circuit selector (rhythm/lead) slide switch on the bass side of the pickguard. The original grey bottom pickups are strong and well balanced.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
