1965 Fender Jazzmaster – Sunburst
We present an all original and early 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This incredible L-series Jazzmaster is a very early ’65 example featuring late solely ’64 specs such as clay dots, The Sunburst finish, no fretboard-bindings and pre-CBS white knobs instead of ‘witch hat’ knobs.
Condition
Overall it’s in excellent condition with minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. No breaks or any repairs. The original Sunburst finish looks fantastic barely any fading – a typical ’64 Sunburst. The original frets and nut are in overall good condition with plenty of life left. The original tortoiseshell pickguard is overall clean but have shrunken a bit like most tend to do. Featuring an alder body and a beautiful maple neck with a dark rosewood fret-board. The decal is clean.
Originality
This early ’65 Fender Jazzmaster is 100% all original just like it left the Fullerton factory back in early ’65.. It features the 6x original double-line Kluson tuners – all works perfectly and turns smoothly. The two original grey-bottom pickups are very strong and well-balanced. It even comes with the original tremolo-arm and strap.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes complete with the original black non-logo Fender hardshell case with orange interior. Latches and handle in perfect working order.
