Description & Specifications

1965 Gibson ES-330 TDC – Cherry

We present an all original 1965 Gibson ES-330 TDC in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This ES-330 is an early 1965 model, as it features 1964 specifications. This slim taper cutaway guitar is in excellent plus condition, with only a few nicks, dings, and minor cosmetic wear. The silver volume sticker is missing on one of the volume knobs.

In the photos, you can see a completely black truss rod cover on the headstock —normally, it would have a white line. In this case, we’re quite sure Gibson made a factory mistake that day, as this occasionally happened. We’re also confident because we know the previous owner (this is a one-owner guitar).
For the record, a completely original 1965 truss rod cover for this model is included in the case. We’ll let you decide whether to replace it.

The guitar is lightweight, has a thin neck, and is lively sounding — a fantastic vintage Gibson guitar whether you play acoustically or plugged in. It has a great feel that makes you want to play all night long.

This historic thinline hollow body was built in an iconic year when countless jazz and blues players were turning to Gibson for the tones that made them legendary. Even today, the ES-330 remains popular among players and has become a favourite all-around guitar for many. It’s a perfect addition for any serious guitar enthusiast. The amazing nickel-covered P-90 pickups take you right back to the ‘60s, when Gibson was building some of its most iconic guitars at the Kalamazoo factory.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1965.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Gibson hardshell case.
