1965 Gibson SG Standard – Cherry

We present an all original and early 1965 Gibson SG Standard in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This 1965 Gibson is true vintage beauty in Excellent condition. The Gibson SG Standard is an early 65 with 1-11/16 width at nut and Nickel hardware. It has a great weight with a killer/resonant tone & feel. Overall, it has a beautiful look to it with minor play wear. The original Cherry finish is still strong Red with tiny finish checking. It features 1-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Original frets shows minor wear and there are plenty of lige left in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.

The solid mahogany body is also in 1-piece. Gibson “Lyre” tremolo tailpiece & Nickel ABR-1 bridge with adjustable nylon saddles. Black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & only slight warping. Gibson “Patent Number” humbuckers are perfect, well balanced and undisturbed. Dual volume & tone controls with black knobs 3-way toggle switch.

The original case offered with the Black chipboard Gibson case. Latches and handle are also intact.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
