1966 Fender Jazz Bass – Firemist Gold Metallic
We present an all original 1966 Fender Jazz Bass in Firemist Gold Metallic finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Fender Jazz Bass is an early 1966 model with some 1965 features. Overall, this super clean custom color example is a truly rare Fender Jazz Bass — played-in, yet remarkably well preserved. It shows only minimal nicks, dings, and light cosmetic wear. It features a ’65 slim tapered neck and a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The original “lollipop” tuners are like new and function perfectly. Frets and nut are also like new.
The matching headstock and neck are exceptionally clean. The original white plastic pickguard is flawless with no cracks. This lightweight Fender bass is highly resonant and an outstanding player, with a slightly stronger low/midrange presence than many typical Jazz Basses from the era.
it’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966.
Pickups and electronics remain untouched and fully intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with the original no-logo hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
