Description & Specifications

1967 Fender Coronado II – Blue Ice Metallic

We present an original 1967 Fender Coronado II in its original Blue Ice Metallic finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.

Condition

It’s definitely not everyday that we come across a custom color Blue Ice Metallic Coronado II guitar. Overall, the guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or any repairs. The original finish has some play wear spots, nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. Gorgeous finish checking around the body. The Blue Ice Metallic color has turned greenish over the years, which look absolutely beautiful. Featuring a bound maple hollow-body with bound f-holes. The maple neck is straight with some lovely play-wear and with a beautiful bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays.

The neck is straight with a great action and response. A great bound rosewood fretboard with pearl block inlays and the frets show hardly any wear, so there is a lot of life left in them. The headstock has some wear most notable at the top.

Originality

This stunning ’67 Fender Coronado II is all original except for a newer handcrafted bone nut. Otherwise it’s just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1967. It even comes with the original whammy bar. The 2x original DeArmond single coil pickups are well-balanced and sounds lovely. The 6x original Fender tuners turns smoothly. The original pickguard and knobs are all intact.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Hardshell Case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
