1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp – Silverface
We present an original 1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier – Silverface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb is a very original circuit that includes a few new capacitors and resistors to ensure perfect operation. It’s equipped with fresh 6V6 power tubes and a mix of new and vintage preamp tubes.
This vintage Fender Deluxe Reverb amp delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amplifiers a staple in studios and on stages for decades. The sound is clear and dynamic, with sparkling cleans that provide an excellent platform for effects pedals. It cascades into a rich, lightly compressed crunch as the volume reaches 10. The reverb is lush, with a long and natural decay.
The preamp is loaded with a full complement of the original blue Ajax molded capacitors, a key component in the dynamic, musical tone of these amps. The original speaker is a Fender Oxford 12″ with a clean blue Fender label on the alnico magnet and a frame that shows virtually no wear.
Cosmetically, the amp is very clean, with stock smooth black Tolex and silver sparkle grill cloth. The Tolex is remarkably well-preserved, with only minor wear on the bottom front edge of the enclosure. All original hardware is present, including the chassis straps and handle caps. The sphinx glides (feet) are missing. The original faceplate also shows very little wear, with bold graphics and stock witch hat knobs.
The original tube chart is present and in excellent condition, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.
Even comes complete with its original footswitch.
