1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp – Silverface
We present an original 1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp – Silverface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Fender Deluxe Reverb still features the sought-after blackface circuit. The 1968 amplifier delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in recording studios and live performances for decades. It offers a clear and dynamic sound, producing sparkling cleans that serve as an excellent platform for effect pedals.
The preamp is equipped with the original blue Ajax molded capacitors — an essential element in the amp’s dynamic, musical tone. The original Fender 12″ speaker has just been reconed and sports a clean blue Fender label on the alnico magnet, along with a frame that shows minimal wear. The original circuit has been recently serviced with a few new filter capacitors and resistors to ensure optimal performance. A new 3-prong power cable has been installed. It also features a new reverb spring unit, and the power transformer has been replaced with one from the 1970s. Otherwise, the amp retains its original components, including the power transformer.
Cosmetically, the amp is in great condition, featuring stock smooth black Tolex and silver sparkle grill cloth. The original faceplate shows very little wear, with bold graphics and original witch hat knobs.
The original tube chart is intact and very clean. This amp even comes complete with its original footswitch.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
