Description & Specifications

1969 Fender Mustang Competition – Burgundy

We present an all original 1969 Fender Mustang Competition in its original Burgundy finish with a matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.

This 1969 Fender Mustang is in excellent condition and ready to play. These models have become increasingly difficult to find — especially in Burgundy, the most sought-after color for this model. This Fender delivers the punchy, plucky tone you expect from vintage guitars of this era.

The finish is clean and vibrant, showing only light and attractive checking, along with a few nicks, dings, and minor play wear. It features a comfortable C-shaped maple neck and a dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The original frets show minimal wear and have plenty of life left. It even includes the original whammy bar and bridge cover.

It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1969.

Pickups, electronics, and wiring are completely untouched—no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. 100% original and correct.

Includes the original hardshell case. One latch is broken, but the case remains fully functional.
