1969 Fender Mustang Competition – Red
We present an all original 1969 Fender Mustang Competition in its original Red finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Fender Mustang is in excellent condition and fully ready to play. These models have become increasingly rare — especially in this well-preserved state. It delivers that iconic punchy, plucky vintage Mustang tone that players love.
The finish is exceptionally clean, showcasing beautiful light finish checking, a few small nicks, dings, and only minor play wear—all consistent with gentle use over time. It features a strong C-shaped maple neck and a dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The original frets show minimal wear and still have plenty of life left.
This Mustang still includes its original whammy bar and bridge cover — a true rarity. It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1969.
The pickups, electronics, and wiring remain completely untouched, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. Everything is 100% original and correct.
Includes its original hardshell case, with all latches and the handle in perfect working condition.
