1969 Fender Telecaster – Blond – Factory Bigsby
We present an all original and very early 1969 Fender Telecaster in its original Blond finish with factory Bigsby. Made in Fullerton, california.
Condition
Overall this lovely and very early ’69 Telecaster is in excellent condition with minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. The original Blond finished has yellow-ed over the years. It features an ash body with a clean and straight birdseye maple neck with a maple cap fretboard. The original frets and nut still have a lot of life left in them. The original white pickguard has shrunken over the years which is totally common. There’s a small crack in the bottom left corner of the pickguard.
Originality
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in early 1969. The guitar is completely the same as a late ’68 Tele, the neck date is dating October 1968, but since it has an quality approval stamp “#119” indicating 1969 on the side of the neck facing down in the neck pocket.
The two original single-coil pickups are well balanced and healthy and sound phenomenal. It features cloth wiring, which is desirable since Fender replaced cloth wiring with plastic wiring in 1969. Features the 6x original Fender tuners, which all turns smoothly.
Pickups and electronics/wiring are untouched and fully intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original black Fender hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working condition.
