1969 Gibson SG Standard – Cherry
We present an all original 1969 Gibson SG Standard in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson is an early ’69 model, featuring several 1968 specifications. It has a one-piece lightweight mahogany body with a one-piece mahogany neck that is a joy to play. The dark rosewood fingerboard features trapezoid inlays. The “PAT Number Sticker” humbuckers sound fantastic and are well balanced. Overall, this SG is in super clean condition with only minor play wear. The Cherry finish is strong with no fading at all.
The chrome hardware is clean and as shiny as it gets. The “Batman” pickguard is perfect, with no cracks or repairs. The original Gibson “double-ring” tuners are in excellent shape and turn smoothly. The factory Maestro tremolo tailpiece is in great condition and functions properly.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1969.
Comes complete with its original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. Inside the case, you’ll find some nice 1970s case candy.
