Description & Specifications

1970 Fender Mustang Bass – Competition Red

We present an all original 1970 Fender Mustang Bass in Competition Red finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.

This 30-inch scale length offset Fender bass with Competition finish gives it an ultra-cool look, and it sounds amazing with great vintage mojo tone. Features include a split single-coil pickup and a super nicely rounded B-shape maple neck with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Overall, the Mustang Bass has a truly one-of-a-kind look paired with a gorgeous vintage tone. The original frets are in perfect shape and have plenty of life left. Fender tuners with chrome oval buttons are in perfect working condition. String-through bridge with four adjustable barrel saddles. 3-ply pickguard and black finger rest.

It shows a few nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear such as finish checking. Everything remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Fullerton factory back in 1970.

The pickup and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender black tolex hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
