We present an all original 1961 Fender Stratocaster, made in Fullerton, California.

This Fender was purchased directly from the original owner. Overall, this is truly a one-of-a-kind 1961 Stratocaster—one of the finest we’ve ever had. It’s not every day we come across a pre-CBS 1961 Strat directly from its original owner.

This stunning piece even comes complete with photo documentation of the original owner, along with all case candy, hang tags, and more. She hasn’t played this beauty since 1969/70. She bought it at a local music store in 1962, and the original receipt has been kept with the guitar ever since. We’ll likely never see another example like this. It even includes the original packing paper that was inside the case when it left the Fullerton factory for the music store dealer. Yes, this is truly a holy grail.

It’s been stored in its original case for decades, which explains the remarkable condition. There’s no fading on the beautiful Sunburst finish. The frets are like new, and overall, there are very few nicks, dings, or cosmetic blemishes. The spaghetti logo retains full color—virtually like new. The black bobbin pickups are strong, with a well-balanced output. It delivers that beautiful “slabboard” sound, with all the highly desirable pre-CBS features. The tone is rich and beefy, with a fantastic amount of twang.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain completely untouched and intact—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original, all correct.

Comes with its original Fender brown hardshell case with yellow plush lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
