1961 Martin D-21 – Natural
We present an original 1961 C.F. Martin D-21 in Natural finish. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
This beautiful Martin D-21 from 1961 is absolutely wonderful original condition. The spruce top shows that the instrument is well preserved but at the same has been played. The comfortable mahogany neck with pearl dot position markers plays like a dream.
The details is a tortoise pickguard, tortoise body bindings, black/white trim and rosette. Overall, it’s in great condition for its age. Nicks, dings, little wear on the back and other cosmetic play wear on the top. A little spot of finish damage from sweat on side rim at upper bout. Original frets and nut and there is plenty of life left in the frets. Never had a strap button installed. This Martin D-21 flat top features some of the most beautiful straight grain rosewood on the back and side. The sound and playability is out of this world. Huge sound and voice but at the same time extremely balanced. Just a stunning C.F. Martin flat top from the good old factory.
Comes complete with original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
