1962 Fender Jazzmaster – Olympic White
We present an all original and 100% complete 1962 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Olympic White finish with a matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
This rare pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in excellent condition and comes complete with the original bridge cover, tremolo arm, and a 1960s instruction manual. This 1962 model marks the first year Fender offered a matching headstock—an exceptional example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster in a custom color finish.
Cosmetically, this guitar is outstanding. A super clean example with only a few minor nicks and scratches, and beautiful finish checking throughout. The neck profile and headstock face are remarkably clean. The fingerboard features a rich, dark veneer rosewood with clay dot inlays. The frets and nut appear nearly new, with plenty of life remaining.
The original Olympic White finish remains a strong, vivid white—typical of early custom color production. Early examples often lacked a thick clear coat, or had none at all, unlike later pre-CBS and CBS-era models. That’s what gives this one its bright, striking appearance. Tonally, it’s powerful, resonant, and incredibly versatile—everything you’d expect from a guitar built during Fender’s golden era. This Jazzmaster is not only a phenomenal instrument, but also a rare piece of history and a top-tier collector’s item.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory.
Pickups and electronics are completely untouched and original—no broken solder joints, no rewinds. All components are correct and intact.
Includes its original Fender brown hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
