1966 Fender Coronado II – Candy Apple Red
We present an all original 1966 Fender Coronado II in its original Candy Apple Red finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton California.
Condition
Overall this very clean 1966 Custom Color Coronado II is in excellent condition with minimal wear, nicks and dings. The original Candy Apple Red finish looks absolutely beautiful and faded a bit over the years to a more orange-ish color. Featuring a bound maple hollow-body with bound f-holes. It features the checker board binding that leads you to first year of production. The maple neck is straight and clean with a beautiful bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. The matching candy apple red finished headstock is super clean and the decal is all intact. The little white emblem is missing on the tailpiece.
Originality
This fantastic Candy Apple Red Coronado II from ’66 is 100% all original with no modifications, breaks or any repairs. Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in the days. The 2x original DeArmond single coil pickups are well-balanced and sounds lovely. The 6x original Fender tuners turns smoothly. The original pickguard and knobs are all intact and clean.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with the original Victoria black hardshell case with yellow interior.
