1976 Rickenbacker 4001 – White
We present an all original 1976 Rickenbacker 4001 in it’s original White finish, made in Santa Ana, California. We purchased this bass directly from the original owner here in Denmark.
History
The Rickenbacker 4001 was produced from the early 1960s and represents the original vintage platform, featuring a more delicate neck construction, the classic dual truss rod system, and the distinctive .0047 µF capacitor that contributes to its signature bright and aggressive tone. It is widely regarded as the purest expression of the classic Rickenbacker sound of the 1960s and 1970s, and remains a highly popular bass to this day.
Condition
This Rickenbacker bass is in incredibly clean condition, showing only minor play wear on the front from thumb and pick playing. The original White finish remains strong, with only slight fading over the years.
This Rickenbacker featuring the original Hi-Gain pickups configuration that are healthy and well balanced. The bass delivers the classic bright and defined Rickenbacker tone. Beautiful rosewood with binding and triangle inlays.
The frets are in excellent condition with plenty of life left, and due to the use of flatwound strings throughout its life, there is virtually no fret wear.
The original Grover tuners are in perfect condition and function exactly as intended. There are no breaks or repairs, and the truss rods are perfect and have never been adjusted and the bass has a great action. The original black pickguard is in great condition as well with no cracks or damage.
Originality
This 1976 Rickenbacker 4001 is 100% original throughout, just as it left the factory. The pickups and electronic wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints or modifications. All original and completely correct. Even comes with it’s original pickup-cover.
Comes with its original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
