1959 Fender Vibrolux Amp Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1959 Fender Vibrolux Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This amplifier is in fantastic shape. It delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. The tremolo is bias-based, meaning it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls. It has a strong, smooth pulse with a pleasing waveform.
The original Jensen P10R speaker is healthy and sounds perfect. Only a few resistors have been replaced to ensure optimal performance. Otherwise, the chassis is very clean, as is the chrome control plate. The original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are intact, along with the original handle. The original lacquered tweed covering is also intact, showing light ambering with minor scuffs and wear. Both transformers are original as well.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in excellent condition. Overall, the tweed looks particularly good, with uniform aging and the original nailed-in feet. It even comes complete with its original and rare woody footswitch.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
