1960 Fender Champ Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1960 Fender Champ Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This little beauty is simple, elegant, and clean enough to satisfy both collectors and serious players.
This vintage Champ features its original lacquered tweed and the revered 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much purer than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers an incredibly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that goes from clean to fully saturated overdrive with just a twist of the single knob.
The Fender Champ has been well cared for over the decades. It retains its original Oxford 8″ speaker, and the circuit has just been serviced with new capacitors, resistors, and a 3-prong power cord, ensuring it runs perfectly. It even comes with its original tubes. Both Schumacher transformers are original as well.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in good shape. Overall, the tweed is in particularly good condition — uniformly aged — with the original nailed-in feet and even the original leather handle.
To keep it as original as possible, you’ll need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
