1961 Fender Deluxe Amp – Brownface
We present an original 1961 Fender Deluxe Amp – Brownface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This is one of the most celebrated guitar amplifiers ever produced — and it sounds incredible. The six-knob layout includes Normal and Bright channels, the latter featuring Tremolo Speed and Intensity controls. All-original gleaming brown tolex covering, grille cloth, and knobs. The amplifier has been maintained in remarkably pristine condition and sounds equally amazing.
A few caps and the fuse holder have been replaced (the original is included) to keep the amp quiet and running well; otherwise, the amp is stock. The speaker is the original 12″ blue Jensen P12Q. The speaker is dated to the 21st week of 1960. This indicates that the amplifier is an early production model, and very few were made with the blue Jensen speaker. It is 100% all original.
As with many of these vintage amps, the leather handle is broken, so a new reproduction leather handle has been installed (the original is included). Both transformers are stock and all original.
The original tube chart is also present — very clean with crisp corners.
Freshly and fully serviced, and complete with a full vintage tube set. It is ready to be played.
