1953 C.F. Martin 000-18

We present an original 1953 C.F. Martin 000-18. Made in Nazareth, PA.

This beautiful 1953 Martin 000-18 shows signs of use over the years but remains an excellent player and great condition. There is some typical wear to the finish overall, on the sides and edges than the top. Only one typical crack repair close to the pickguard.  Apart from that, this flat top and the original finish is relatively clean.

The 1953 Martin 000-18 features mahogany back and side with a gorgeous spruce top. The trim is discreet with tortoise celluloid on the body edges and a simple multiply sound hole ring. The one piece mahogany neck is a nice “C” profile with dark rosewood fingerboard and the inlay is mixed size dots. The original tuners are openback individual large-plate Klusons with metal buttons. They turn smoothly and are in perfect working order. Just a stunning flat-top that sounds fantastic.

Repair that has been done by a respected and accomplished luthier.

  • Replacement saddle during neck reset.
  • Neck reset.
  • New bridge
  • Bridge pins: modern replica pins.
  • Strap button installed.
  • One crack repair close to the pickguard.

Comes with a new Martin hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
