1964 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp – Blackface

We present an original 1964 Fender Princeton Reverb amplifier blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.

The 1964 blackface Fender Princeton Reverb from the pre-CBS era is one of the crown jewels of the 60s combo amps and especially this one, because it’s the no logo version. This classic amp added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo, and has been among the most widely used recording amps since its introduction in 1964. All transformers are original including the reverb unit. The circuit itself is perfect and is serviced with some new capacitors, resistors and a new three-prong cable so it can run perfectly. Comes with the original Oxford speaker and original footswitch. The Original speaker has been reconed so it sounds perfectly.

The amp is definitely great condition category as far as the cosmetics are concerned. The grill cloth is in exceptionally great and clean condition as well as the black tolex.

The original tube chart is present as well and very clean for its age.

  • Speaker code: 465-439 – 39th week Of 1964.
  • The tube chart date: NL – December 1964.
  • Power transformer: 39th week Of 1964.
  • Output transformer: 35th Week Of 1964.
  • Reverb transformer: 45th week Of 1964.

To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter. https://guitarhunter.dk/product/toroidy-ats300va-stepdown-converter-230-110v/
