1964 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp – Blackface
We present an original 1964 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.
The 1964 Blackface Fender Princeton Reverb from the pre-CBS era is one of the crown jewels of 1960s combo amps — especially this one, as it’s the rare no-logo version. This classic vintage amp added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo and has remained one of the most widely used recording amplifiers since its introduction in 1964. All transformers are original, including the reverb unit. The circuit is in perfect working order and has been serviced with new capacitors, resistors, and a modern three-prong cable for safe and reliable operation. Comes with the original Oxford speaker and original footswitch. The original speaker has been professionally reconed and sounds perfect.
The amp is definitely in the great condition category as far as cosmetics are concerned. The grille cloth is in exceptionally good and clean condition, as is the black Tolex.
The original tube chart is also present and very clean for its age.
To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
