1966 Fender Jazz Bass In Sonic Blue
We present an all original and 100% complete 1966 Fender Jazz bass in Sonic Blue finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This is an extremely rare Fender Jazz bass from early 1966. Overall, this Custom Color; Sonic Blue is played-in but remaining extremely well preserved over the years. We are the third owner of the historical piece. It has extremely minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic play wear.
Over the years the original Sonic Blue finish has faded to lighter green but still has some blue in it. Beautiful finish checking all over the body. It features 65 slim tapered bound neck, beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots. The original Lollypop tuners are like new and works perfectly. Frets and nut are like new and there are plenty of life left. Even comes with its original bridge cover with the original foam and pickup cover. Its all there!
The matching headstock and neck are clean as it can be. The original white plastic pickguard is perfect with no breaks. This Fender Jazz bass is extremely resonant and a superlative player with a somewhat more low/midrange emphasis to the tone compared to many typical Jazz basses from that era. Both pickups are well balanced and sounds great.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender black logo hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
