1967 Fender Pro Reverb Amp – Blackface
We present an original 1967 Fender Pro Reverb Amp – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.
The Blackface Fender Pro Reverb has skyrocketed in popularity over the years, though it took a while to get there. Considered “too weak” for the mid-1960s market, today it’s beloved for its signature Blackface tone and natural breakup at much more manageable volumes than a Twin Reverb or the piggyback amps.
Delivering 40 watts through two 12″ speakers, the Pro Reverb is essentially a scaled-down Twin – with smaller transformers, half the power tubes, and a tube rectifier that creates a saggier, more responsive sound that breaks up earlier. This fantastic vintage stage amp has seen a renaissance over the last couple of decades and has become a highly sought-after amplifier for bands touring mid-sized venues.
All transformers and essential components are original, and the amp shows very little cosmetic wear. It has received standard servicing, which includes a capacitor replacement, a few new tubes, and a new three-pronged power cable.
To keep it as original as possible, a step-down transformer is required. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
