1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb – Silverface
We present an original 1968 Fender Deluxe Reverb – Silverface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Fender Deluxe Reverb still features the blackface circuit. The amplifier delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades. It offers a clear and dynamic sound, with sparkling cleans that make it an excellent platform for effects pedals. When pushed to volume 10, it cascades into a rich, lightly compressed crunch. The reverb is lush with a long decay.
The preamp is loaded with the original blue Ajax molded capacitors — a key ingredient in the dynamic, musical tone of these classic amps. The original Fender Oxford 12″ speaker has been reconed and comes with a clean blue Fender label on the alnico magnet, and a frame that shows minimal wear. The original circuit has just been serviced, including a few new filter capacitors and resistors to ensure perfect operation. A new 3-prong cable has also been installed.
Cosmetically, the amp is very clean with stock smooth black Tolex and silver sparkle grill cloth. The Tolex is remarkably well-preserved, with the only notable wear on the bottom front edge of the enclosure. All of the original hardware is present, including the chassis straps and handle caps. The original faceplate shows minimal wear, with bold graphics and stock witch-hat knobs.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
The original tube chart is also present and very clean.
