1960 Gibson ES-335 TD – Sunburst
We present an original and early 1960 Gibson ES-335 TD in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This historical piece is coming directly from the son of the original owner. It’s excellent condition with minor fading spots or other minor cosmetic wear. It’s all original except for brand new tuner buttons because of how they shrink over time. The original owner had at some point added Grower tuners on, but with no extra holes, just the tuner holes were enlarged a little. Original singleline Kluson tuners are back on. Otherwise, no breaks or any repairs on this Gibson ES-335!
The original frets has still plenty of life left including the nut. 1-piece mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. The original Kluson singleline tuners works perfect and turns smoothly. This Gibson hollow body is the holygrail with a rare pair of P.A.F “Patent Applied for” humbucking pickups that are totally undisturbed and factory stock. The pickups sound amazing and are well-balanced.
The oval orange label is clean and intact with the handwritten inscription “ES-335TD” and with the A serial number. This guitar features 59 specs such as, long pickguard, Bumble bee cabs and white plastic strap buttons and no serial number on back back of the headstock as a 1959. The neck profile is not a 59 or a slim 1960 neck, just in between.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. It also include an original Gibson Strap.
