1961 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1961 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This is a pristine example of a 1961 Fender Stratocaster from Fenders golden era that is in overall excellent condition. The top of the body is overall really clean but has some nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear as well as some beautiful finish checking. There is some spots of notable wear on the side of the body and one spot on the back of the body. The maple neck is gorgeous and clean and features a beautiful slab rosewood fingerboard. The original 3-Tone Sunburst finish is strong with no fading.
Originality
The guitar is all original except for new frets and nut. Other than that, it’s completely like it left the Fullerton factory back in ’61. It comes complete with the original bridge cover and tremolo-arm, and even comes with the original instruction manual. Top-class playability and a comfortable medium C-shape neck profile. The 3 original pickups are very balanced and sounds fantastic and powerful. It features the original 3-ply white pickguard that has one little crack at the tip close to the horn. The 3 white knobs, the white switch tip and the white backplate is original to the guitar and all intact and clean. The 6 original Kluson tuners turns perfect and smoothly.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Brown Fender Hardshell Case w/Orange plush lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
